CEO Donna Sautia started Lighthouse of Hope Foundation Inc. in March of 2020. In 2015, she had a desire for feeding the community. She began to buy big bags of rice and beans and put them into ziploc bags. She quickly realized that the need was too great and knew there so much more to be done. It started with 10's, then 100's, and now 1000's of people that come to get fed. She began to look for donations that would provide the need for the community. The donations overflowed in and Food Distribution was in action. She realized that this was what she was called to do permanently. After 20 years of managing her own daycare business, she decided it was time to retire. She knew this process would not be easy but Donna was ready. About a few months after shutting down the business, it became hard to provide enough with only one source of income, this quickly resulted in loosing her home. She and her family were homeless in 2019 for 6 months going from hotel to hotel. This experience opened her eyes to what it really means to be without a home. She was able to see the homeless community in a whole new light. That was the beginning of Lighthouse of Hope Foundation.
